Who am I

Hi, I'm Niels Schroeder, an aspiring game designer currently studying Games Production and Management at Hochschule Neu-Ulm (HNU). Right now, I'm in my fourth semester, and I've already been involved in five different game projects. My main role in these projects was system design, but since our teams were small, I also worked on gameplay design, content creation, balancing, and testing. This helped me build a broader understanding of game development.

Games have always been a huge part of my life, and turning that passion into a career just felt right. I believe that, in today’s fast-growing industry, games often lose sight of what makes them great. My goal is to change that by creating experiences that are immersive, memorable, and truly meaningful for players.

I’m especially passionate about MMORPGs—we all remember the golden days of World of Warcraft, a game that brought millions together in a way nothing else could. Ever since then, no other MMORPG has reached the same heights. I believe there's immense potential to create the next generation of MMORPGs, bringing players together once again in an immersive, captivating online world that truly feels alive.

I enjoy working in teams that are motivated and dedicated, and I bring strong communication skills and a talent for solving problems. My English proficiency is around B2-C1 level, and I've recently started learning Unreal Engine 5.
